新型显示技术及应用集成教育部重点实验室于2003年11月开始立项建设，2007年4月通过验收。是上海市属高校第1个教育部重点实验室。

实验室围绕新型显示技术及其新发展，注重基础研究、学科交叉和工程应用。实验室现有研究及实验设备人员46人，其中研究人员40人，设备技术人员6人，专业领域涉及材料、电子信息、机械工程等学科。学术委员会主任：邱勇院士；学术委员会名誉主任：曹镛院士；实验室主任：张建华教授。

主要研究方向：发光新材料与器件新技术、显示芯片设计与系统集成、数字视频与立体显示技术、AM OLED器件工程与未来显示。

Key Laboratory of Advanced Display and System Applications (Shanghai University), Ministry of Education, was approved to establish in Nov. 2003 and officially started to run in 2007. It is the first key laboratory of Ministry of Education among all colleges and universities under the direct administration of Shanghai municipality.

Key Laboratory currently focuses on the research of new display technology and its new development, with emphasis on fundamental research, interdisciplinary study and engineering applications. The laboratory holds a strong team with 46 personnel , including 40 researchers and 6 engineering technical staffs. The expertise areas cover materials science, electronic information, mechanical engineering etc. Chairman of the Academic Committee is Prof. Yong Qiu, Honorary Chairman of the Academic Committee is Prof. Yong Cao, and Prof. Jianhua Zhang takes up the post of Director of the Key Laboratory.

Main research fields of the laboratory include: (1) New optoelectronic materials and new technology of devices; (2) Display chip design and system integration; (3) Digital video and stereoscopic display technology; and (4) AMOLED device engineering and future display.
