年毕业于华南理工大学高分子系,获工学学士学位。
1985
年、
1988
年获日本京都大学硕士、博士学位。
1994
年至今任香港科技大学助理教授、副教授、教授、讲座教授。
2009
年当选中科院院士。现为华南理工大学

香港科技大学联合实验室主任;华南理工大学发光材料与器件国家重点实验室学术委员会主任。主要从事高分子合成方法论的探索、先进功能材料的开发以及聚集诱导发光(
AIE)
现象的研究。发表学术论文

The essential of scientific research is creativity. Although it varies from area to area, the Trilogy of Creative Research may include: (I) discovery of new phenomena and identification of new problems, (II) hypothesis of new concepts and proposal of new models, and (III) exploration of new applications and opening up of new fields. In this talk, I will expound the Trilogy through sharing my experience in the area of research on aggregation-induced emission
1–5 with the audience of
Mingde Forum.
