Host engineering for high efficiency and long lifetime blue organic light-emitting diodes
Abstract：The development of high efficiency and long lifetime blue organic light-emitting diodes has been a challenging issue because blue fluorescent materials show low external quantum efficiency and blue phosphorescent and thermally activated delayed fluorescent emitters suffer from short device lifetime. Therefore, it is essential to develop high efficiency blue organic light-emitting diodes which can secure long lifetime at the same time.
In this work, we developed host materials for blue organic light-emitting diodes which can reach theoretical maximum external quantum efficiency and long lifetime at the same time. The host engineering enabled high external quantum efficiency over 20% and long device lifetime along with deep blue color coordinate.
Resume of speaker: Jun Yeob Lee got his Ph.D. in Seoul National University, Korea. Now, he is a Professor of School of Chemical Engineering, Sungkyunkwan University. He was a visiting Scholar, University of Michigan in 2011-2012 and Senior Researcher, AMOLED team, Samsung SDI in 1999-2005. Prof. Lee has ever won some awards, such as UDC Award, Samsung Human Tech Award, Merck Award, Korea Ministry Award and LG Young Researcher Award. Now, he acts the editors of some journals, such as Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry, Journal of Information Display, Macromolecular Research, Scientific Report and Member of Korea Academy of Science and Technology. He has published 461 papers in Adv Mater, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Funct. Mater., ACS Nano, Adv. Sci. etc.
